There are two engines available on the GMC Sierra 2500HD. The base engine, a Vortec® 6.0-liter V8, is standard on all four trim levels and is paired with a six-speed automatic engine. With an output of 360 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque, this engine produces plenty of power all on its own.

But for a boost in performance that will also give you better fuel economy, upgrade to the Duramax® 6.6-liter Turbodiesel V8, which is available on every trim level. The Turbodiesel puts out 445 horsepower, but its claim to fame is its whopping 910 lb-ft of torque, which will let you tow huge loads with ease.

The 2500HD comes standard with a 7-inch diagonal GMC Infotainment System, a Rear Vision Camera, and a Driver Information Center to help you keep track of your fuel levels, speed, and stats easily.

Higher trims get you even more fun tech like Remote Keyless Entry, Remote start, OnStar® 4G LTE and available built-in Wi-Fi® hotspot, wireless charging, and the Driver Alert Package.

There are also plenty of interior amenities you’ll love, including available heated steering wheel and heated and ventilated seats, auto-dimming mirrors, and dual-zone climate control.

Even more important to truck drivers than great interior features are exterior features, and the Sierra 2500HD has them in spades. The base trim comes with a CornerStep rear bumper and recovery hooks, while higher trims offer cargo box lighting, a Remote Locking Tailgate, and heated outside mirrors. The Denali trim even has a special chrome grille.
